Samantha

Samantha completed her 200 hour YTT at the Kripalu Institute in 2013 and has

been teaching consistently at studios, libraries, schools, gyms, and in private homes

ever since. In 2022, she was asked to lead a recurring children’s series at a local

preschool. This prompted her to create a specific teaching style that catered to

children’s development while still being fun and engaging. She fell in love with teaching

children’s classes and built upon her original idea to include more age groups. Currently,

you can find her classes at libraries, schools, and community spaces around the east

end.

Rooted in a deep understanding and appreciation of the human body, Samantha

values connection and recognition of the individuals who attend her adult yoga classes.

Clear instruction is her strongest teaching skill and making sure each student is safe

and confident in their practice is her primary goal. Finding balance between the physical

body, mind, emotions, and nervous system is a key element in her own practice and

something she aims for each student to experience in her classes.

She had that sense of balance in mind when she shaped her children’s program

and considered what elements children would need to feel steady and at ease in their

lives. Through yoga and play, she encourages children to feel safe in their bodies, trust

their instincts and emotions, have confidence in their decision making, and to be aware

of and respectful of others.
